Description

:: G E N E R A L ::

   Name: Drishti Alegría
   Age: 14
   Gender: Female
   Height: 5'2

   Pokémon: Mew #151 Mew
   Nature: Mild
   Characteristic: Thoroughly cunning
   Ability: Synchronize - Passes on a burn, poison, or paralysis to the foe.
   Hometown: Goldenrod City

  Job:

    Promoter/Solicitor:

    Drishti's the one who guides and aids people on where to go in the circus. If a show needs more viewers, she's there to herd minor audiences there. If a concession stand needs more money, she'll be on the spot to advertise them. If she has troubles, she can simply transform and be someone completely different to allure the Pokemon in. She often carries flyers or posters around with her to place and give when needed. Outside of the circus, she solicits like it’s her religion, climbing up onto her imaginary soapbox and wailing the joys of the circus to the ignorant.

    Photographer:

    As a second job within the circus specifically, she will be at the gates, taking pictures of fellow visitors who wish to share their moment at the circus forever. She’s hoping at some point that she can get knicknacks and props for them to play with, but all she has now is jingling bells and tiny dolls to get children’s attention. At the end of the day, photographs are set up at the exit for those to pick up when they leave. If they are not retrieved at the end of the day, Drishti will compile them into her scrapbook for future experimentation when transforming.

   Wish: I wish I could be anybody else but myself!
    Drishti’s form was enhanced to be able to transform into anything she pleases. It seemed that there was no strings attached to this choice, but oh she was wrong. She learned the hard way that she cannot remain in her normal form for no longer than a few hours (4 maximum. The time can vary depending on her mood throughout the day) before she begins to decay, shed away, grow ill, etc. She has to constantly transform into other Pokemon to survive. One of the first signs that her backfire is kicking into action is rapid shedding, slowly coming from general bits to clumps of fur, the next to go is the skin, then muscles, and proceeded by everything else.
More information about her wish can be found in her history.

:: P E R S O N A L I T Y ::

    Drishti is perceived and represented as a peppy and optimistic Pokemon to be around, as if she’s constantly attempting to solicit good vibes. With a job convincing others that a hellhole of a circus is a wonderland of awe and joy, she has to convince herself too. In reality, she isn’t the most happy-go-lucky person around. She instinctively raises her morale around crowds, but once separated into slim groups who have suspicions, her facade cracks. She is exposed as self conscious, emotionally disoriented, and often rambles when sharing conversations, making it quite problematic for her. It was so easy in front of the other crowds: she could imagine them all being mannequins, or just assume that they were all the same… But those ideas break in a one on one conversation. Anxiety gets the best of her, but the better she knows who she’s working with, the more relaxed she is. She realizes with good friends that she doesn’t have to put on a show in front of them. Regardless, she would prefer being a listener, rather than listened to.

    Alongside hiding her emotions, Drishti assumes everyone else does the same. She’s no sherlock, but she asks questions like a six year old roleplaying as him. It takes some good convincing for her to trust anyone, but the standards that she sets aren’t hard to meet. Once you have gained her trust, she’ll see you as someone she can rely on, and it’s hard for her to think any other way. She will be caring, sweet, and would risk her left leg to help them out.

    Don’t be mislead though, Drishti may be willing to save you at the cost of herself, but she’s no superhero. Actually, she’s a total coward in the face of danger. She would rather talk up a storm instead of fighting, maybe even try to find common ground with the enemy. There’s got to be some peaceful approach to it, right?

:: H I S T O R Y ::

    Drishti was born into a regular family, and became the oldest of two siblings. In this life, she was a Sewaddle, with an amazing mother, father, and, to what she thought, everything she could ever dream of! That was, until an income gap split their lifestyle in two. No more china dolls, or comforting beds. No more flea ridden environments or education. At the age of 9, her family fell into a hole of poverty that they couldn't climb out of.
    From the start of living in the wretched city streets that they now called home, Drishti's younger siblings grew ill. And when it seemed to get better, another illness took it's place. With her mother treating them day after day, she herself soon enough became consumed in the unknown illness. This left Drishti and her father to do the heavy lifting of the family.
To earn more money, Drishti had to dress and act like a boy to be able to be accepted into the few jobs that fit the requirements. Being young and not yet having a proper feminine figure, this was quite easy. And for a measly 3 years, her and her father kept this up. Lying to their bosses, working and migrating from job to job. She had never experienced such vigor and exhaustion in her life. Only now could it get worse.
    Returning from a long days work, the two returned home to see something that they wish could simply be unseen. Drishti's mother, white in the face, on her knees, looming over what looked like the sleeping figures of her siblings. She wished they were sleeping. Her father did too. But reality struck them both. They were dead. Cold as ice. Nothing more than a Murkrow's meal.
    After that, her father was never the same. With the money the two had rightfully earned, he wasted on beer, and any alcoholic beverage that fit the bill. All his health washed away, and he fell into a deep illness, like his children.
This left Drishti to be held with the burden, to do all the work. It became more and more difficult as she grew older physically. Her gender became more prominent. This new conflict dragged her down with each passing day, and she never got a break from it all. Drishti worked mornings, evenings, even nights to try and make everything better. It never did. And one despondent day, her mother passed away. Quickly following was her father. The day she realized this was when her regret sank like a stone in water. If she had simply done one thing... If she could've been a bit different, this would have never happened.

~~~~~~~~~
    The weight of her family's death followed Drishti like a shadow. Hopelessly she continued her routine of gathering food about the streets. Suddenly, she heard the sounds of screams, laughter, and awe. With faint curiosity, she walked in the direction of those sounds. Soon enough, she found the source of the noises. A circus. A beautiful, excitement resonating circus! But a simple glance, she couldn't help but disagree with. She wanted a better look. In the end of her personal bickering, she ended up sneaking into the circus.
    It was even more mesmerizing up close! Something that she simply believed must've been some kind of dream! She looked around, practically searching every nook and cranny of the circus grounds... Or at least she could've, if she didn't bump into the owner of the circus himself.
    She cowered in fear, realizing who this was. It wasn't until the Darkrai explained himself did she soon grow practically fearless. When Mr. Dark spoke of asking one wish, and offered, she spoke without hesitation. With a guilty heart, and a thoughtful brain, she answered, "I wish I could be anybody else but myself!"
With what felt like a flick of the wrist, the deed was done. Drishti became a Ditto! She was both ecstatic and somewhat confused on why he made her THIS out of all things, but refrained from contradicting the Darkrai. Throughout the night, she continued with a skip in her step, and a feeling that all would go well from now on. That was, until a ear splitting, eye disorienting headache hit her like a train plowing at maximum velocity. Her new figure began to warp, decay, and melt away. She fell to the floor. She was unable to move. It felt like she forgot how to breath. Eyes surveying the area with adrenaline, she saw Mr. Dark there, again?...
    He spoke nothing, just a strange smile fixated on his face. A smile she couldn't understand. She closed her eyes, and concentrated. The feeling of being weighted down strangely faded. With that, she managed to stand up, eyes still shut. She opened them and looked around, realizing that her pains had washed away, as well as her figure. She had used Transform to turn into a passerby. Drishti stared back at the Darkrai, a face flustered with mixed emotions of anger, sorrow, and regret. What in the world happened?  What had he done to her?! Her heart sank to it's former position as the shadowy man spoke. She had asked to be anybody else but herself. She had to keep transforming. If she stopped for too long, she would rot away... Die. Never again could she be one person.
    Drishti couldn't believe this. She never asked for this! But it was obvious... She did... With another look at Mr. Dark, she asked if there was anything she could do to fix this...
 Moveset:
Normal type
Transform: The user transforms into a copy of the target right down to having the same move set. Drishti, can only transform into people she has within her line of sight, although she can change into anyone she has a photograph of, at the cost of some details being slightly off (ex. Height, color alterations, etc.)
Normal type Reflect Type: changes the user's type to match the type(s) of the target.
Psychic type Barrier: The user throws up a sturdy wall that sharply raises its Defense stat, often used as a quick defense from unhappy patrons.
Psychic type Rest (TM): Provided to her during her travels in the hopes that it'll help her get a better night's rest.
:: M I S C ::
  • The only thing she can transform to by memory is her relatives and her former species. She does not need a reference to change into this form, though she is subjected to physical and mental strain (includes: exhaustion, headaches, queasiness, vomiting), and is often a last resort if she cannot become anything else before her backfire triggers.
  • When it comes to physical strength, Drishti's weak and brittle.
  • ** The backfire of her wish still continues to affect her even when she's asleep. Yes. She can die if she doesn't awake after a few hours.
  • When it comes to humor, she can laugh at just about anything, though if injury is involved, she may not even crack a smile.
  • She is somewhat desensitized to getting frightened by jumpscares, etc. This does not mean she cannot be frightened, it just takes more effort.
  • She seems to be squeamish around alcohol and basic illnesses such as the flu or common cold.
  • Will deny it but is actually jealous of rich folks, seeing that she wouldn’t be in such a hell hole if she had their luxuries.
  • Her previous form was a Ditto, and previous to her backfire she was a Swadloon.
